Thank you for coming to AlltSkandia and our "Unique Scandinavian-Inspired Shopping Adventure" (TM). Regardless of your background or heritage, there will be much to experience.
The concept behind AlltSkandia is quite simple really. Provide high-quality products that are unique, special, or inspire individual creativity and thought, in a pleasant atmosphere that encourages you to come back for more. Of course it's about commerce but beyond that is a much greater reward in the enrichment of sharing knowledge of cultural, historical, social, and scientific information.
We focus on the five Nordic countries which - for us, also includes Greenland, the Faeroe Islands, and the Saami/Lappland culture - in English alphabetical order with country/region name in the native language and how it's pronounced:

Despite relatively small populations, they are proportionately among the greatest contributors in the world for arts, science, history, social, and technical advancement. For instance ball-bearings, dynamite, and zippers, as well as the 3-point seatbelt, Skype, and Micro IP are innovations from Sweden. And of course there are the incredible Danish design skills as well as the the pioneering Norwegian oil company Statoil.
