Store Policies

AlltSkandia offers the following policies:

AVAILABILITY: We actively assess our product fulfillment rates in anticipation of customer desires. As this is not an exact science if we encounter any reason for delay in your order we will contact you within 4 hours or the next morning depending upon when your order is entered (that's why we need your phone number).

PRIVACY: We will not provide information about our customers to anyone unless required for written legal and/or governmental reasons. Please see full details on our Privacy Policy page.

RETURNS: We continuously strive to ensure your complete satisfaction with our high quality products and merchandise. If you find that anything you purchase in our store does not live up to this standard, we will gladly give you an in-store credit for the purchase amount of the returned item for up to 30 days after date of purchase with original receipt. However, we do not pay for return shipping unless it is our error.

SECURITY: AlltSkandia uses encrypted technology server platforms, SSL, and the choice of securely processing payments either through PayPal or via credit card directly through AuthorizeNet.

SHIPPING: We only ship within the United States. As of 25 January 2010 we have had to add $3.00 per order in shipping fees due to offset the increased fuel and delivery surcharges by UPS. It is our goal to ship your in-stock purchases the next business day. If we cannot, then we will contact you directly within 24 hours (that's the ONLY reason we need your phone number). Large purchase quantities are very welcome and may take an extra day to fulfill/ship. Some items in our store may take 10-14 days due to production and/or assembly requirements but we will do our utmost to ensure you know upfront what to expect on those items.
We ship via UPS Ground and USPS Standard mail. UPS cannot be delivered to a PO Box. For any other shipping methods by these carriers, the prevailing rates at the time will apply. For purchases over $100.00 those fees are waived. We do not pay for return shipping unless it is our error.
For those of you who may wonder why the boxes and cartons you receive have multiple shipping stickers, we re-use them and the packing material. There are a couple reasons: 1) Scandinavians are generally practical and frugal, 2) it's good for the environment by reducing materials that go into landfills and trash, 3) it keeps our costs down which in turn helps you the customer.
SPECIAL NOTE - SHIPPING CHOCOLATE: Since the fine chocolates we sell are best maintained in cool temperatures, we regret that we cannot ship chocolates from mid-April through mid-October. We simply cannot guarantee the condition upon arrival.

TAXES: Georgia addresses will have 6% tax added to the purchase.
