Like most anecdotal retellings, there are some variations to the actual source of when these traditional wooden horses became the national icon it is today but it's generally thought to be in 1700's. They are hand-made then hand-painted with the kurbits design technique from the central Swedish province of Dalarna and no two are exactly alike. E-mail a friend about this item. |
